This page is for one specific situation: you used to film wide selfie videos on Snapchat, often with music playing, and now you can’t. Maybe your account was locked, maybe your device was blocked, maybe you just left.
I know this one personally. In July 2026 Snapchat blocked my phone, in the same month I lost two family members. I’d been filming motivational videos there every day. My story is here.
First: if you think it’s a mistake
Use Snapchat’s own support and appeal process. Their help site explains what support codes mean and how appeals work. Keep your messages factual, save your ticket numbers and screenshots, and be patient. Don’t buy accounts, use other people’s details, or try to trick a ban; it can make things worse.
Second: keep filming
What most people actually miss is the camera: the wide front view and filming with a song on. You can get close to that today.
- Widen the front camera in Apple’s Camera app with the two-arrow button (iPhone 11 and later) or by turning the phone sideways.
- Start your music first, then record. Some camera apps pause music when they start recording; if yours does, try another app.
- Use headphones if you want your voice clean and the music not echoing into the mic.
- Save to Photos and post wherever you like. Your videos stay yours.
Third: a camera built for exactly this
That’s why I’m building Music Wide Selfie: open it, your music keeps playing, film with the widest front view your iPhone really has, record your voice, save to Photos. It isn’t released yet; join the waitlist below if you want one email when it is.
